Pan still crashes

Beartooth

        Followups set to gmane.linux.redhat.fedora.general

        Pan on F28, which I update at least once daily, still crashes instead
of launching. From the command line with ampersand:

$ /usr/include/c++/8/bits/stl_vector.h:1021: std::vector<_Tp,
_Alloc>::const_reference std::vector<_Tp, _Alloc>::front() const [with
_Tp = const pan::Article*; _Alloc = std::allocator<const pan::Article*>;
std::vector<_Tp, _Alloc>::const_reference = const pan::Article* const&]:
Assertion '__builtin_expect(!this->empty(), true)' failed.

        Alas! That is Geek to me. What should I do??

Wait for pan-0.145-1.fc28 to reach stable or install it from
updates-testing and leave feedback on the update:

        Thanks much! I looked, and took some consolation from the fact that
crashes on launch are not somehow due to me or my hardware -- and more
from the knowledge that someone is working on it.

        But when I looked closer, I concluded that the testing requires a lot
more savvy than I've got. My best wishes to the developers!

Testing would be just seeing if the new version starts now.
If you're not sure how to install it, that's easy as well:
sudo dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing upgrade pan

It's ready to go stable, so it will probably be in the updates repo in a
few days.

        It came, it installed, it conquered.

        There was a pan item in the latest dnf upgrade, and I'm a happy
camper again. Abundant, super-abundant thanks!
